David Collett
David's primary focus is building a solid training foundation that instills confidence in both horse & rider.
He has over 30 years’ riding experience being trained by some of the best in the business, and continues that passion into coaching the next generation of champions.
David is well connected with the finest arenas throughout North-West Auckland.

Coaching
Coaching helps to build your confidence and provides a more structured way of riding / schooling your horse. With my method and training system to educate both riders and horses you will be sure to see achievable results. I’m firm but fair, and like to push my riders in a positive manner for them to excel.
Show Jumping
Show jumping has been David's biggest passion since he was a young boy. Over the last 25 years, David has trained with some of the worlds best trainers and competed numerous horses to top level. He prides himself on being a young horse specialist.
You will find David at weekend shows jumping between 2 & 5 horses in multiple rounds.

Show Jumping Clinics
If you are interested in improving your show jumping skills or want to learn something new for you and your horse, attend a showjumping clinic.
They are usually 1, 2 or 3 day events.
You can have private or group lessons.
David's regular clinics are held in Warkworth, Matakana, Waimauku & Masterton.
Horse Schooling
David has had many years riding young uneducated horses and progressing them to be top performing show horses. Schooling young horses is something he is very passionate about. "I really enjoy producing horses and seeing them progress"
Horse Schooling is in conjunction with Emerald Equine.
The Emerald Equine facility run by Amelie Howell is just 5 minutes from Parkhurst Stables & Equestrian. This calibration allows David & Amelie to work together offering you two extremely experienced professionals to care for your horse. Your horse will graze at Emerald Equine while being schooled by David Collett.

Grazing
Parkhurst is 21 acres of beautiful sandy loam, gentle sloping land divided into 23 grazable paddocks. All paddocks have auto-filling troughs. Full electric fence. Many of the paddocks offer shade from established tree lines.
Our farm is 10 minutes from Woodhill Sands and only 15 minutes to Woodhill Forest.
Pick from one of our Agistment packages or tell us just what you are after and we will endeavor to make it work. Owners live on-site, you can be ensured your horses are well cared for.
Our Farm
Its a pretty special place out here in Parkhurst.
With horses always on our mind, they do share the place with our two pet dogs. You will be greeted by Diego our German Shepherd and Britney our Bearded Huntaway. They are friendly and just love a farm run-about and to know what is going on!
Wondering completely free range are about 20 chickens and a handful of ducks. Spring brings ducklings which are enjoyable to watch and feed.
We are lucky to have many established trees, offering beautiful colour for each season.
You are likely to hear or spot Tūī, Fantail, Wood Pigeon, Paradise Shelduck, Parakeet, and in the evening Morepork.
